MEET THE CREATORS

MAEVA KLEINOFEN

  • 2025 + Accounting and French

  • CrochetByMae

  • What message or emotion do you hope to share with people through your business?

I want my art to make people slow down and find joy or happiness in smaller things in life. This is something I personally am working on, and making this art has really helped achieve that goal. I hope it will help other people appreciate more things throughout their day.

REBECCA ODEH

  • 2027 + Physiological Sciences

  • Good Vibes Club

  • What message or emotion do you hope to share with people through your business?

I hope to share with people that they are not alone. I want the good vibes club to serve as a “club” representing care for mental health and support for others.

SOPHIA SANDOVAL

  • 2025 + Criminology and Law Studies Pre-Law Scholar

  • epda (El Poder de Alondra) = The Power of Alondra

  • What message or emotion do you hope to share with people through your business?

The message I hope to send is that your life should be entirely customizable to you. There’s no need to fit in to certain trends when you can set the trend for yourself! To be uniquely you is the best thing you can do.

KARLYE KRIEWALDT

  • 2026 + Biological Sciences and Chemistry

  • Krieative Jewelry

  • Do you have an ultimate goal with your art or business? How do you hope this Student-Made community can help?

My ultimate goal for my business is to continue to be able to design and create new jewelry while also improving my skills and learning new techniques from others. I would love to incorporate new techniques for making things into my designs which could be learned through student-made connections. I would love to grow this business to the point where I am able to sustainably get my original designs produced in metal for all of my jewelry.

TESSA HOLLANDER

  • 2027 + Civil Engeering

  • Tailor-Made by Tessa

  • Which part of your creative process has been the most rewarding or challenging to you?

The most rewarding is definitely getting orders from people gifting a design for their special person. Knowing that the shoes are going to be a surprise to the owner is really fun and motivating for me. The most challenging part has definitely been testing my design skills. I try to constantly go bigger and better with every design that comes in, and so far they've all come out really nice!

AVERY PUGH

  • 2027 + Marketing

  • Aromatherapy by Avery

  • What message or emotion do you hope to share with people through your business?

Having a passion for aromatherapy and business has helped me discover my love for entrepreneurship. Aromatherapy by Avery has been an amazing outlet for me to express my uniqueness and creative abilities. Embarking on this project in 2022, I’ve had the privilege to experience the trials and tribulations associated with business development. More importantly, I’ve learned to take every single opportunity that arises, because it will almost always lead to success and valuable learning experiences. Through my aromatherapy products, I aspire to inspire others to achieve happiness through their ambitions.

CLARE FITZGERALD

  • 2025 + Cognitive Science

  • Incrementum Jewelry

  • What message or emotion do you hope to share with people through your business?

The name "Incrementum" comes from my will to improve without any limits. On a deeper level, it comes from my constant battle with my treatment-resistant depression. Growth can occur under any circumstances. I learned how to use my depression to become a better person, and that is a skill I want to teach others. My vision for Incrementum is to not only create jewelry for others but also to inspire others to look for hope and wisdom in nature. If throughout my life I manage to teach others how to examine and learn from their surroundings, even from the most insignificant things, I will be satisfied with my accomplishments.

JONALIE ZAMORA

  • 2026 + Marketing and Entrepreneurship

  • Little Artsy Aloe

  • Which part of your creative process has been the most rewarding, or challenging to you?

The most rewarding part of designing something from scratch is seeing the final product. For example, when I make crochet products, I get to watch as a single string somehow grows into a bee, or a sweater, or a flower! It demands a lot of patience and persistence, but it’s totally worth it when my creativity is realized.

MIGUEL BASURTO

  • 2025 + Computer Science

  • Has your art or business impacted your experience as a student? How has your campus impacted your journey in any way?

With my art, I was able to cross-register at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design (MIAD). At MIAD, I got to connect with other artists and learn with them in my classes while pursing my studio art minor. Marquette has also impacted my journey as an artist since some of my experiences here have given me inspiration for some of my artwork.

NAY MOO

  • 2024 + Civil Engineering and Theology

  • Knit Fast Die Warm

  • What message or emotion do you hope to share with people through your art or business?

I hope to spread joy through my art. Every time I see anything cute, fluffy, or anything squishable, it has always brought a smile to my face. I hope that through this business, others can find the joy in the small things.

MARIAM ALI

  • Grad School + Advertising

  • South through East

  • What message or emotion do you hope to share with people through your business?

I am trying to highlight Middle Eastern/South Asian culture in a positive way through streetwear as there is a negative stereotype to these cultures along with not having as much representation.

DELANEY YARWOOD

  • 2024 + Elementary Education and Psychology

  • Delaney Made

  • Which part of your creative process has been the most rewarding, or challenging to you?

The most challenging part of creating my earrings is prioritizing what I think looks good versus what is popular! I want to share my own style with the world!

MUSKAAN KAUR

  • 2026 + Marketing and Journalism

  • Bag Bazaar

  • Has your art or business impacted your experience as a student? How has your campus impacted your journey in any way?

Art has always helped me heal and move on in my life. It has given me immense joy and an appreciation for taxing hard work that some artists do. It has given me a different perspective to live my life. I do feel quite lucky that I have mentors that are ready to help every step of the way to achieve my goals no matter how far they might seem to me. And always believing in me. Campus has also made me realize to not be hesitant of showing your talents, no matter how ordinary. It still matters.

WILL SQUIRES

  • 2026 + Mechanical Engineering

  • Lazy Bear Apparels

  • Which part of your creative process has been the most rewarding, or challenging to you?

The most rewarding part of my creative process is the finish. When you start out with a project in mind, looking at a blank page and trying to think how you can get from point A to point B, it can be difficult to know if it will turn out how you imagined, but when it turns out better than you could have ever imagined, that’s the most rewarding part. And if it doesn’t, you always can try again.

TYCE HOLMES

  • 2025 + Criminal Law and Psychology

  • Consecrated

  • Has your art or business impacted your experience as a student? How has your campus impacted your journey in any way?

Consecrated has positively impacted my experience as a student because I am able to connect with others and grow in faith. I get to provide quality clothing/accessories that communicates positive Christian values. Also, being a student at a faith-based university has been very beneficial for my brand. I believe Student-Made can help this brand reach more people in the world.
